Conference call Update: Hope this helps
No call yet- I had enough time to call CL&P, local Police, Utility Port Authority, BBB- these are the results:
**CL&P were not aware of Greenwich Cap, but said they aren't always familiar with other suppliers.
**Local Police said nothing they can do unless a crime was committed
**BBB website indicated "Greenwich Cap" was a loan company based out of Tampa FL.
**Utility Port Authority was helpful, they gave me a website www.ctenergyinfo.com - click "choose an Electrical supplier" in the drop down, click "List of Suppliers & Aggregators" - in there you will find ALL the companies, and you can click on them to view and compare their rates and info.
Conference call came in-
** Greenwich Cap called, I mentioned the being unable to locate the business name etc. she told me their company name is Productive Marketing, they are hired by their parent company "Reliable Energy" (found in the Port Authority website list and BBB) to canvas new customers.I spoke to the owner of Productive Marketing (not found in neither BBB nor C.O.N.C.O.R.D), then spoke to the owner of Reliable Energy which confirmed they hired marketers but didnt know all the companies' names, but did confirm he is working with the owner of Productive Marketing, (just didnt know the name of his company).
their phone line is being moved so they are only using an "outbound only" line, which explained the hang ups when I called the number on caller ID. "Greenwich Cap" is their sister company. for whatever it's worth, I hope this helped.
Hello,
This is not Tomra calling you. It is an error somewhere in one of the Big Telco's database. Tomra does not own that number. According to this board some people see caller ID of Tomra, some see Greenwich Capital, and some are having an energy provider trying to get them to switch from UI or Connecticut Light and Power. We have been doing all we can to have our name removed from that number. We work with Grocery stores and beverage distributors. We have no reason to call individuals homes. Sorry for your inconvenience.
No worries Brian, we know its not you. These days a company would be crazy to use its own name in these telemarketing calls. Too bad. They have figured out how to manipulate what shows up on caller id and we all suffer as a result.
Thank you Brian...still getting calls with Tomra listed as caller as recently as yesterday...I've seen your trucks at grocery stores....hope you get your number back soon!
