Good u have caller ID. All I do not answer! It is spam! So like the IRS an many others,block for ears an get a boat Horn! 3 quick taps. An you won't get any more calls! trust me it works!
called today (8/22/2015 at approx 9:30am)...When I answered, the "person" on the other end asked for someone by name, don't remember the name, and when I told "her" she had the wrong number, "she" said, "that's okay, we're calling everyone your area"...I told her it wasn't okay with me, goodbye, and hung up....I didn't get the cutesy comments as posted here, I'm bummed (not really)...I will be difficult to reach from that number, however, because I BLOCKED it :) That will work ,until they start using another one...
I talked to that same lady a little while ago and she said the same thing to me about being hard to reach. She said she's from some service organization for breast cancer fund raising. I told her that I never give money to people over the phone and to stop calling here.
Same person calls occasionally, probably a scam, the number (if real and not spoofed) is located in Waterbury, CT.
However, "Breast Cancer AM" or "Breast Cancer of America" can't be located in the Charity Navigator. It is also not registered with the CT Secretary of State.
However, there is an inactive corporation American Breast Cancer Association located in Stamford CT that has a "Forfeited" business status.
Clearly no one here has noticed that it's a really clever (read: badly programmed) recording. Listen to the pauses, and to how "she" responds to your answers. It's not a real person.
