Caller ID says R2J2 Company. They can help me with my mortgage!!! Don't remember asking for help! Just an automated robo call. On do not call list...obviously that doesn't matter. Wanted to ask them WHAT MORTGAGE???
Ssays it is R2J2 on my caller id.
If I call the number back, it immediately goes into a recording saying- please press any number to be added to the do not call list. I'm pretty sure that would be bogus so I just waited to see what would happen if I didn't press any number. It said, "We did not receive a valid response". I let it just keep waiting for me to press a number and got that same recorded answer 3x. Then it said, "Please hold while we transfer your call." Then it hung me up.
First of all a legitimate company would not answer their phone with, "Please press any number to be placed on the do not call list."
Secondly, a legitimate company who did give an option to be placed on a do not call list would have done so after answering the line appropriately; by revealing who they are and giving several options to reach different departments and would have a specific number to press to get to the area where you could add yourself to their do not call list.
Recorded message I didn't listen to, but just 3 hours earlier I got a call from 402-528-5693 having same security scam message. They called themselves Med Alert
robo call, apparently selling security systems. I've had the same recording from 2 other numbers, this is the first time it came up with anything on caller id (r2j2 company),
