I picked up the call since we have family in Connectict - it's a guy saying my computer is going to be infected with a virus. When I said to stop calling he managed to call back 4 times saying this is "ben morris about your computer".
I received a call that displayed as CONNECTICUT CALL from a woman who had an east Indian accent saying that mycomputer was putting out "bad signals," and she was from the Microsoft support system. I told her the call was being recorded for review by the State Attorney General's fraud unit, and she told me to "Shut your mouth, please. Shut your mouth." and hung up
I received a call this morning from a woman with a middle-east accent. The caller ID said Danbury, CT. Without identifying herself, she said she was calling about my computer. I hung up on her because I received two calls from two different numbers yesterday -- one from Michigan and another from Midland, TX -- both male, also with middle-east accents. They both told me they were calling about my Windows and that my computer was sending out bad signals. I hung up on the first guy, and then the second call I demanded he tell what company he was representing and he hung up on me.
