I too received calls over the past 2 days from this number with no VM I have a voluntarily closed & "current" account with RBS. Perhaps they're calling me to beg for me to come back...FAT CHANCE! It was closed for a reason so suck it RBS!
I received three phone calls from this number on my cell phone. I did not answer because the number was unfamiliar. Neither of the times did the person leave me a voicemail. I am unsure why they are calling me. Next time they call I am planning to answer to I can find out what they want and hopefully they will stop calling me.
I got a call from these [***] at 6:15 AM on a SATURDAY morning ! The only reason I didn't answer was by the time I lept out of bed, got to my kitchen and found my cell, I had already missed the call. This is a collection agency ??! And people wonder why when someone goes Timothy Mcvaie on their [***].
Those annoying telephone calls are from the foreign-owned bank RBS Citizens, N.A., operating through its RBS Card Services division in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Both are subsidiaries of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc.
Lower-level RBS Card Services employees are engaging in illegal telephone harrassment and intimidation activities that are ripe for a headline-grabbing, class-action settlement. In a public climate already unsympathetic to large multinational banks, corporate officials either promote such practices or they are unaware of the situation. In either case they should be put on notice.
