Although I usually don't pick up for "Unknown Caller", it was our local area code and the number seemed like it could be one of my friends' cell phone numbers. The soliciter read a lengthy speech about Special Olympics. I told them that I did not appreciate that they have their true name hidden from Caller ID and requested they remove me from the call list. I made no bones about being extremely irritated with them and hung up. I can almost bet this won't be the last time they call me, but at least I blew off a little steam.
I never answer 800 numbers, but this was a local number with unknown name so I answered in case it was important. As soon as the person asked for me by name I knew it was for a donation of some kind so I said I wasn't home and hung up. Now I find out here it was Special Olympics so I was right.
If your on a no call list how are they getting your number. Something is wrong with no call list service. This is ridiculous. I won't give to anyone who calls me because of all the fraud in our world. Sorry!
