Call was answered by my answering machine (I never answer if I don't see a callerID for someone I might expect to be calling me). No message,,,,,,typical scammer stuff,,,,,,I have no idea who they are or why they're calling me, but if I get any more, I'll be registering a complaint with the FCC. I've done this many times in the past, and it always seems to work.
They have called me 2 times, an IVR- recorded message plays and gives you an option to fix your credit and that you qualify, then asks you to press a number to get connected to an agent, which I have done on both occasions, just to test their fraud.
1st time Amanda answered and offered to help me fix my credit then asked for my name, when I asked how she was able to contact me while I am on the do not call registry, she hanged-up.
2nd call was 5/23/09 @ 6:50PM I also got an Amanda, looks like all reps there are Amanda’s.. I guess they are trying to use a common blond name to make it sound more appealing to simple people. So Amanda asks if I want to fix my credit.. How much do I owe and how many credit cards.. Name of the bank.. and I gave her what she wanted, I wanted to get to the name of the company, then she asks for the my bank 800 number on the back of the card, I gave her that but couldn't help myself commenting "you are digging v deep now" she exclaims what I said and I repeated, so she hangs-up.
Her hanging-up seemed to me as not coming from her, I believe they are monitored all the time and when her 'fraud manager' suspects you are not stupid to give them your credit history, they quickly hang up on you.

Engage Tel Spam Numbers
I got a call from 414 755-6411. Selling home warranties. That number led me to Choice One Communications in WI who told me the number belongs to Engage Tel, Inc in Wyoming. I looked up corp records and found out they are incorp by Gerald Pitts's firm and they are Engage Tel's resident agent. Call Mr Gerald Pitts phone number at 307-632-3333, ask for Mr Pitts and demanded that your phone never be called again. I suggest all of you call Mr Pitt's office and do the same. Their address is 2710 Thomes Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001 for one to send legal matters to. I am still looking for a number for Engage Tel. But give Mr Pitts a call, he needs to here about his clients practices.
