I didn't have my glasses on so I answered and said hello. A woman's recorded voide said this is Eversource and you are eligible for a discount. Press 1 to get this discount. I said no thanks. I do not believe Eversource would conduct business like this.
This Bridgeport CT phone number 203-683-0994, typically calls about six times per day seven days a week, from about 8:15 am to about 8:59 pm. I have been on the Connecticut and federal "do not call list" since they were started. No message is ever left. Typically, I also receive calls from a Danbury CT, and a Philadelphia number within minutes of each other. What's the value of a government "Do Not Call" registry if it's not enforced? We have finally had to use a call blocker.
Typical scammer. I refuse to answer. They're quite obvious. I always end up having a few weeks of quiet time and then about two months of high volume scam calls. Multiple calls a day from multiple numbers. It's getting ridiculous. Unfortunately these are scammers. They have no concerns whatsoever with who's on the "do not call" list and they use cheap but efficient technologies to reroute their locations and displaying info. Leaving them untouchable and not worth the effort in regards to anyone trying to hunt them down and fine them. It's sad really. It's sad that there's such a high number of scammers out there doing this and it's sad that they go unpunished. And it goes without saying that the saddest part of all of this is the countless people, mostly elderly, that fall victim to these [***] and lose so much in the process.
May they all break out in some vicious rash that never goes away and haunts their private parts until the day they die!!
