I get 5 - 10 of these calls per day. The computer gets thru to my vmail and says: "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and dial...." This has gotten so bad, I unplug my phone often. Will cancel service soon. Who is doing this and why? There is nothing charitable about blatant harassment. If it has anything to do with the police, they should be ashamed.
I don't know if I've had specific calls from CT, but once in a while I will answer and it's other places like san diego, san francisco, and phoenix. This is totally ridiculous and needs to outlawed.
Call several times a day. Don't leave a message. Answered it once and no one responded right away. Says it is Stamford, CT number but calling it back, I get a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed. Seems like a telemarketer.
Have gotten called from this number more than five times the past several weeks. No message ever left on my machine. I have not tried calling the number back because I somehow assumed it was a cell phone number for someone I don't even know. But maybe I am wrong about that. Never occurrred to me it might be a telemarketing call.
i called them back using skype. i did not want to use my home phone for some reason. they are a fund raiser. they said in the promp that i got that they will call back later. no truer worhs have been spoken!
