I too have gotten calls from this number. They said my car could be eligible as above. This leaves me with two questions:
1. If they are capable of providing authorized extended warranty then they should know the make and year of my car which leaves me with this is not a deal that I would risk.
2. If this is not from my car's dealer or manufacturer, why am I receiving a phone call on a SUNDAY Evening when I'm on a do not call list.
I answered the call and got a recorded message saying my vehicle was eligible for an extended warranty, and to press a key if I was interested, which I did. I told the rep I was interested, and she asked for the year and model of my vehicle. When I told her she started to say my car wasn't on their list, but I kept talking and said I was so excited when I heard I could get an extended warranty on my 1991 vehicle. She hung up on me. I called back to report her rudeness to the company, and a recorded message answered "Mortgage Services" and went through a list of options, one of which was to add me to their do-not-call list, and the rest of which involved mortgages and loans, not car warranties. When it got to the end, it hung up on me. I called back a couple more times and got the beginning of the same recording, but each time they disconnected me before I got to the option to put me on the do-not-call list. I guess you only get one shot at it.
I got the same call yesterday on my cell phone. They left a message that said push 1 or 2 meaning. The 2 meant that they should not call again about my vehicle. But there was no other message than that. So I looked up number on Internet and came across what you wrote. Now I know who it was. Thanks a lot for the information.
same as bethany. when I answered it was the vehicle warranty. I hung up and called cause I've been getting these type calls from different numbers the past few months. 508 534 1281 is another. 612 225 2147 too.
I received an automated call again today. I pressed the number to talk to a warranty specialist and asked her to stop calling me. She said it was her job to continue to call her. I told her I had an extended warranty on my car (I purchased it through the car manufacturer about 18 months ago). She wanted to know the ID number for my car. I refused to give it to her but asked to be taken off her list and that I was on the no call list. To no avail. She said that she would continue to call her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said no one was around. This number is strange 5-062-256-4758.
