Kirby has been in the news lately for unethical sales tactics in Connecticut.
they called to offer a free cleaning same day. I picked up everything off the florr waiting for them. I have a child and had to keep her out of the living room. They never showed up. what's up with that?
Got two calls from them today. Left no message, and ID says Out Of Area, but reports from other people say it is from the Kirby Vacuum company. Very aggressive sales tactics. They claim they are a new company trying to establish themselves in the area, and that they will clean your carpets for free for word of mouth advertising, but when they come they make you sit through a 1.5 hour presentation on their VERY expensive vacuum first. My mother-in-law fell for it, and got quite the sales pressure!
