Call today from this odd number. The message the caller left on voicemail was "Press 2 to discontinue." Very odd. The voicemail ran for 6 seconds, the first 2 seconds were to press 2.
Called at 2:58. Has to be a scam call using a Seattle area code. There is no such number as 101-0101. A local prefix cannot start with 1 as this is to route the call to long distance. A partial message was left on my voice mail saying something about duct cleaning and to press 1 for more information or 2 to be removed. This is just a complete scam as I have never had any dealings with any duct cleaning company, so this must be a robo dialed call.
They called again. Total scam company, left message about duct cleaning. There is no such phone number in this area code as no number prefix will be 101
Air Duct Cleaning or so caller ID shows with a number from Seattle, 206-101-0101
Some clown called me a few weeks ago asking if I need my ducts cleaned. Told him we only have baseboard heat. He asked me what that was so I explained. As a side note...You Tube has a Canadian consumer program that explained most of these calls originate in India with lots of spoofing. When you book an appointment, if they show up, and you corner then about the legality of their company, these guys just hop in the work van and scram.
Vonage won't let me block it, probably because it's not a real number. They must be using some kind of anti-tracing technology. Seems pretty sophisticated for a duct-cleaning company!
