received a call stating we were hiding information from IRS  called the number some [***] sounding guy named shawn martin said he was IRS agent    asked him for his badge # he said hes not allowed to give it.I advised him i have spoken with the irs regarding an issue i had and the first thing the gave me was their id# he said F@@@ You  and hung up

Received unwanted calls

Received a call on Saturday 01/30/2016 and the caller left a message that I was hiding information from my tax audit about my income. The stupid part is I haven't even done my taxes yet for 2015. What a jerk and a scam. I hope he sees this. The phone call was static and a low gruff voice. By looking at the other posting it looks like this character is trying to get money from people pretending he is the IRS. He is so stupid to think the IRS calls you. They would send a letter.dummy......I wasn't about to call him back.

Your caller most like wont see it. Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. Very rarely do we see a IRS scam shill here but they are busted very quickly.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
