He said he needed my Debit card number to be able to transfer the money to my bank. I hung up and called the number back and Nick Richardson answered and said that they would transfer the money to the western union but I had to make a deposit of $150 first, for the government to make sure my identity was right...
I asked for a website to read up about the grant, he said usagovernmentgrants.org which came up but he said there was no information about the grant on the website because it was a preapproved universal grant to give money to the people.
They both had middle eastern accents
when the call came in it was from private number
Look-alikes aren’t the real thing. Just because the caller says he’s from the “Federal Grants Administration” doesn’t mean that he is. There is no such government agency. Take a moment to check the blue pages in your telephone directory to bear out your hunch — or not.
Same as the others, got a call saying I'm being awarded a government grant and they confirmed my name address, gave me a grant ID number, this phone number and the website usgovernmentgrants.org, also his name is John Richardson with a middle eastern accent. He wanted an account number to transfer funds to, I told him I don't want to do that but I'll check out the website to get more info before going further, and he raid he'd call back. Makes me feel uncomfortable that he has my name and address and phone number, but I guess that's all public knowledge anyway.
