Msg left re irs lawsuit. Called back, man was very aggressive and very threatening. Told I needed to pay $2500 or I would be arrested within the hour and all my assets seized. Asked if I had criminal attorney and if money owing was due to embezzlement. Never stopped talking or threatening with arrest, needed answer regarding payment before call ending. Told him I needed to talk to my atty.
Msg left stated they were calling from irs re a lawsuit on you. When you call back, phone # continually rings and never states that you are calling the irs. Final msg you receive is that there is no answer and your call will be disconnected.

Message left that we are being sued by the IRS. Only extension numbers left by female recording. Number tracks to Lodi, Merced, Modesto are. We believe this is a SCAM. Check out Fox News and Youtube. Do NOT fall for this scam. Two people were busted in New York and many have fallen for this scam and lost money over it.
Not only are they modifying caller ID to make it appear they are actually calling from the IRS (frequently from "Area Code 202"), but they seem to know a lot about the taxpayer, often including correct address information and the last four digits of the taxpayer's social security number. This adds credibility to their scam. Unfortunately, these fraudsters have "collected taxes" from far too many unsuspecting taxpayers.
