rachel has been calling for three years, when i say/start conversation about do not call, yes they hang up. recently i received a call on my cell phone. i have registered our home and cell phone numbers on do not call. i get it, it's phishing, but how does one stop calls to their home/cell phone numbers?
Also received call from this company. Since I never answer numbers I don't recognize, and certainly none that say things like "Unassigned", I wasn't overly perturbed. However, if it is one of those stupid "we can lower your interest rates" calls, I only have 1 credit card and it gets paid off every month, so phish somewhere else people :-)
I'm not going to ramble on about how the do not call list doesn't work, because either these people are scum and don't care (very likely) or they have some way of saying that I have interacted with them before so that the do not call list doesn't apply (along the lines of everybody is connected to Kevin Bacon within 6 degrees or whatever).
It's one of those "lower your credit card rate" calls with instructions to press 1 if you want to lower your rate or 3 if you want to opt out. I have pressed "3" at least 6 times in previous calls. So I pressed "1" to tell a live person that I do not have a credit card and to stop carlling me. Well, this young punk dropped the "f" bomb, the "c" bomb and a host of others - threatened to "get rid" of me. I don't know who to report this to.
