Said he was from the Seattle Times. Said my card on file wasn't working and that I owed $59 for last period and $59 now. Said he could take payment and change the card on file over the phone. I laughed at him and said I'll do it online. We don't have direct pay with the Seattle Times, we pay by check.
It was the Seattle Times. I answered, but they hung up on me. Called back and the automated message said it was the Seattle Times and they were calling about my account. It tried to transfer me but I hung up since I paid my account online yesterday. Maybe they should check their records before calling me and hanging up.
They are calling me 3 times a day now - and I had paid my bill days ago! I am keeping track of the calls in a log and will take action if they don't stop!
