Scam!!!!!!!!! We keep receiving several phone calls from this # saying we owe hundreds of dollars for Yellow Pages.com enrollment and that they are ready to turn it over to a collection agency. Definite scam, they wanted us to pay with credit card and couldn't provide me with proof that I had signed up for the advertising. Businesses stay aware.
This number called my home at 4:15 AM - I answered thinking it was an emergency and couldn't understand the foreign voice talking. I hung up and they called me again at 4:45 AM. I didn't answer this time. They AGAIN called at 8:44 AM. Who are they with????
There was mumbling at first, then someone came on asking for my husband. When I said he was at work, they said something about gaming control and asked if we had been involved with Publisher's Clearinghouse or Reader's Digest. He said he would note that in his files and hung up. The caller id said Fairview Account.
I find your post quite interesting. We got a call April 11th 2012 from a 612-412-9001 (Minnesota) An Indian accent man said that I just came in 3rd place in the Pub.Clearinghouse Sweetstakes.
Told us he would call us back in 10 min. after he contacted the local TV station that we would be home. He called back with the phone number 206-260-2004. Then he wanted money wired to him. We knew it was a scam. We call the TV station and reported it to many agencies.
The interesting part is the Fairview Account. Was this a MN number by chance? Fairview is a large company with clinics and hospitals.
This number kept calling my house and was trying to scam us of our computers saying we have viruses on it when we weren't on any of our computers today. Kept asking me for my age when I kept asking them what time and day that this virus was put on our computers and he kept ignoring the question. and kept calling back everytime I hung up the phone.
