OMG just got off the phone with the "IRS" - I received the same phone calls as everyone else.. then yesterday I got the "final request - lawsuit being brought against me" was the message. So I just called them, talked to two different men with terrible accents, could hardly understand them, quoted verses from the IRS tax code, said my wages would be garnished, tax leins placed against my assets, etc. When I said that I had received NO paperwork on the matter, I honestly could not understand his answer. He offered to settle the matter "out of court" if I paid them the over $4,000 I supposedly owned. I asked how do I know this is legitimate, he said that since I didn't want to resolve this by paying them, that an arrest warrant would be issued for me and I would be arrested tomorrow. When I questionned him further, he hung up on me. I was terrified until I googled the phone number, thank goodness it's just a scam, still scary....
Received a voice message stating that this is officially the final notice. The IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call this number immediately (206) 299-0868. This is obviously a phone scam. Be careful.
I received the same message two days in a row from 210-824-0376 & 939-561-3601. Todays from the 210 area code wants you to call this 206 number. This is pure BS. The numbers that have called my cell are not in service. When you call the 206 number the party is not available & to leave a message.
I received a voicemail today saying that IRS Revenue Service was unable to contact me and this is a final notice to urge me to call 206-299-0868, and IRS is filing a lawsuit againt me.....
