I got a call from this number yesterday. It was an older man with a Southern accent, telling me he represented some veterans' group and would I donate..one time only..$15.00. I was transferred to an older woman, again with a Southern accent, who wanted to verify my info. I woke up finally...and said I don't know who you are and hung up.
Called and said he was from American Veterans, these poor forgotten soldiers have so many needs we're putting together care packages to give to them. I suspect it was a male computerized voice because when I finally was able to interrupt there were long pauses. I finally said "stop" many times and also do not call me repeatedly. I've gotten 4 calls from different "veteran" orgs this weekend.
