They have been calling me for the past several days. On this occasion, they actually got me on the phone. This guy with a thick Indian accent told me that I had been selected by the government for a grant of $9,200 for filing my taxes on time, for not having any bankruptcies, and for being a clean citizen. He asked to confirm my name and address (which he had somehow obtained ) and asked if I would like it deposited to my bank account, a green dot card, or cash through Western Union. Now, I knew that this was almost certainly a scam, but I wanted to get as much information as I could about them, so I played along and said I wanted cash through western union. He told me to call his supervisor and give them a number, and supervisor would get me the tracking number. I got ahold of "supervisor" who then asked me to pay $250 for a registration card "so you will not have any problems". Yeahhhhhhh I've done western union before, and they do NOT work like that. I then hung up.
