ohh.. if your computer has viruses or it facing any kinda a problem then it is better to take specialists advice then to try different methods by yourself...
My experience is a bit of a twist. Received a long distance call saying that I had errors on my PC, and that they received notification from me of this fact. Got me to call up the event biewer to see errors & warnings, but not to click on any, and asked if I had anti-virus software. Fortunately, mydaughter was suspicious and proceeded to do a shut down of my computer. I told the caller that my daughter needed the phone, so Iaskedfor a number to call back. I got this number, and was advised to ask for Justin, but to call back asap. I have not called back now that I have seen the comments on this page.
Same details as most other people. I even spoke to a "Supervisor".... I checked back with my IT support and here's what they said:
You have to think of things like this ...
- do you know anyone else who has ever been called by Microsoft with the offer of support? I don’t...
- how do you suppose they know you downloaded some 'bad' files - even Microsoft doesn't know this.
Something you can always do, is google a phone number....you'd be surprised how much information you can get from google on this sort of thing...
This is not legit ...do not allow ANYONE access to your computer, especially your work computer, unless it comes from our IT Dept.
no this is absolutely [***] u people are talking here they called me and they came in my computer and fixed all the problems and they even provided me an avg antivirus for 7 long years so how could you say this is a scam even rbc said that they r genuine one
