Came through caller block system. First part of message did not play so what I heard was they had filed a law suit and to call back 206-336-3418, same number as blocked and that showed on display. Somewhere in message they claimed to be IRS.
I get this IRS scam constantly.
First of all, the IRS won't call you on the phone.
Second, the IRS does not have the authority to arrest someone for an unpaid lien. With very few exceptions, IRS agents cannot arrest anyone without the approval of a federal judge. In order to get before a judge, the IRS must first convince the U,S. Department of Justice that it has an extremely viable criminal case.
Next time they call, I am going to tell them to come and get me. Laugh, and hang up.
Caller ID said Seattle WA and I have a friend there so I picked up the phone. Well now. Isn't this special. It was the old "last notification that I owe the IRS millions of dollars. Write us a check now or you will be going to jail. COME GET ME IRS, you worthless POS." I hung up. I selected Call Type: Political call, because it fits the BS coming out of Washington DC nowadays...
I must of made the IRS(less) mad. They called me again and left a message to call 206-336-3418. Something about a pending lawsuit. Guess I got to pack my bags and leave the country.........RUN FOREST RUN!!!!!
