This caller just call me and tell me that she is calling from Business chambers associates.
She asking me the our new address for update their record.
I gave them our new address of business and ask her name but she hang up.
I want to know that she is really calling from Washington business chambers associates.
If not, I want report for getting our information for fraud purpose.
I just received a call at the office from 206-429-6164, Asking if this was "business name" and I said yes, gave me the address and asked if that was still correct, I said yes. Then he asked who the business manager or owner was. I asked Who was asking, he said it was the Chamber...I told him the owners name and then he asked how many employees there were.
He is calling from a Seattle number and I am in Central Washington.
It did not settle well with me so I looked up the number and see many others getting the same call. I called the number back, it does a half ring then cuts off.....
I also received a call from this number asking to verify my business name and address. When she asked how many employees I had, I asked who was calling. She said the chamber of commerce. When I questioned why they were calling, she hung up. I then noticed it was not a local number.
I got a similar call, asking for my physical address. I operate a business out of my home but us a post office box for mail. I refused to provide my physical address and they hung-up. They identified themselves when I ask who was calling as being from "Chamber of Commerce". There are lots of Chamber's of Commerce, if this was legitimate they would have said which one.
