Someone with an Indian accent called and left 3 vmms saying he was John Wright and was an officer of the IRS investigation Dpt, and to call him. After I called he said I had 3 allegations against me including tax evasion, immigration and misleading representation to the Gov. I asked him to be more specific and he said that I had benefited from $1,250 and that I was going to be arrested the next day and will be in jail for 3 days and then will see a Judge who will read my charges and I'll have to pay $5,000 for each offense and if I didn't I 'll be going to jail fro 3 to 5 yrs minimum. I told him I had not received any letters from the IRS and that if I did I wouldn't had ignored them as he claimed I did. The threatening was freaking me out, so I told him that I will have my lawyer call him, and he said that no lawyer could defend me against the IRS. Right away I felt this was a prank call, or fraud. I had my lawyer call him and he told him and then my husband the same story. I then Googled his name and phone numbers and found 3 pages filled with complaints about this individual. My lawyer contacted the FBI Fraud unit, and I'm doing my part by filling charges against this man and his operation. He needs to stop and be arrested.
This guy with a Middle-Eastern accent tries very hard to speak very good English. He is brash, threatening, and arrogant. He keeps calling our home saying that I owe back taxes in the amount of $20,000. He gives his name as John White or John Vite... hard to tell because of the accent. He said that the IRS had turned our account over to him and that if we do not pay up an initial $2,000, I will get arrested by the FBI or the cops. In spite of my husband telling him that his call has to be a scam and that the caller should call me at work... but that I was not at work at that time, he repeatedly called three more times. This guy is a scam artist and possibly part of the terrorist group. I will be reporting this to the IRS.
Same as all the others. This is actually the first time any scammer like this has left a message on the voice mail. I NEVER pick a call when I don't recognize the number. 90% of the time they won't leave a message, so this call was unusual. I also am calling it out and out brazen! Threaten with arrest etc.? My call blocker is full, but I'll make room for this number. If anyone gets any results from reporting this guy, please come back to the site and let everyone know!
