The IRS doesn't use the phone nor electronic mail to communicate, period.
Report these scum of the earth to your local FBI and take the time to put it in writing. The more written complaints, the more likely these scum will be arrested and spend serious jail time in the Federal prisons.
My daughter received a call from this number informing her that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against her. When I returned the call and asked to whom I was speaking, I was first hung up on, and when I called back, I was told that they were with the IRS. I asked for a name, they gave me Officer, and when I asked for a location, they gave me an address supposedly in Washington DC. When I asked what they wanted from her, they said they wanted her to pay her taxes. I informed them that she was a minor and made a point to ask them if they really thought she would call them with her credit card number and give them permission to charge her some phoney amount of money. They were quiet. When I pressed the issue, they asked me what size my private parts were. 206-452 is an NPA/NXX that belongs to the service provider Level 3 in Seattle, WA. I fully intend to contact the Seattle police department and inform them of this incident. I also intend to contact Level 3 and let them know about the scam using their numbers.
