I received the same SMS from the same "6245" identity (
[email protected]) about the same time as McKail's posting here. I have Cricket phone service but no Wells Fargo accounts. Oddly enough, I have never received any spam SMS on my phone in the 4 years that I've had Cricket service. However, I updated a call and text blocking application (Mr.Number) a few days ago, which has social media/availability statusing in the newer version. It's supposed to allow you to let friends, etc., know your availability status, like other social media apps and IM do. Why anyone would want this feature in a phone app designed to block unwanted calls and text messages is beyond me but I think that's how I ended up with this unsolicited spam/phishing attempt.
