Called identified himself as Kevin Parker, claimed to be from IRS Police Department about $1800 in income tax owed by "M........." and threatened to send investigator out to elderly man's home to seek resolution if he didn't pay. When I called back he was very rude, had a very thick Indian accent, and refused to go through the details again "because they were already given to father" and "it is not my job to repeat over and over to whomever calls"...sounds like a bad scam targeting elderly and/or disabled. Person being called is elderly and the caller is claiming income tax is owed by someone that is actually permanently disabled and has never had income!
Caller identified himself as Michael Black from IRS, that I needed to call back as soon as I received the message to clear up an IRS tax issue. I did not call back.
Caller called back this morning around 8:30 AM. As I remembered the number, I answered the call. They asked to speak to my husband, when I informed them he was not available, he asked to leave a message. Again in a heavy Indian accent, he identified himself as Officer Michael Black of the IRS. At this time I interrupted and asked if the message had anything to do with the IRS Phone Scam. At that point in a very loud voice he called me a Mother F**ker and hung up. Hoping no more calls!!!
got a call from same # and same person; asking me for my 4 digits of social and telling me I owe IRS $$. First I hung up, and then called back...this phone # was answered by same person...it's a total scam, because at the end of the "spiel" they are asking for wire.
