They called me claiming that I have a grant from the government of $9,200 because I pay my taxes on time for the past 3 years and I have no criminal background record. They then told me that I could pick it up at Western Union and gave me some type of fake confirmation number and gave me another number to call so if you get a call from 202-656-6425 they are the same people once I caught on to them and I started asking questions the guy cursed me out. I called them back but blocked my number because they wouldn't pick up from my number once I got somebody to pick up I let them know that I was going to report them to the police the guy said go ahead he doesn't care so be alarmed there are people out there that are claiming that they work with the US government and it's all a fraud don't get got.
It's a scam is to eventually get you to give them your credit card information they would say something like we can't Western Union it so can you give us your information so we can wire you the money to your account the government would never do this the government will just send a check
Lady claims to be from the United States government. She saids I had to pay money back to the Irs or I would get locked up. I told her to go to hell because the Irs doesn't call you. They would send a letter in the mail. She hung up after I cursed her out.
