Every word is recorded Typed in exact words 9/28/2015 @ 2:55 PM Automated message on answering machine stating hello this call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file  please call immediately on our department number 206-569-4696 I repeat 206-569-4696 thank you, wife called me I listened to message from home phone thru my cell, called # above A man answered had all wrong info didn't even get my name right he hung up on me so I called the number again this time a woman answered the phone she immediately hung up on me, hope the IRS is doing something about this scam it terrifies people & If you have anxiety attacks it is awful to go thru!!

Said they are the IRS and are filing a lawsuit for unpaid money. Said to call the number (above) which they repeated. (they called yesterday)

I did call the number right back. A male with an accent promptly answered the phone.......he said, IRS. I said this is not the IRS. He hung up on me.

Have you ever called the IRS and they answered on the first ring??

Same phone message as described in earlier comments.  Even tho a scam it's rather unsettling to receive such a message.

Answered and a recording came on saying that IRS was filing suit against me and to contact this number. I called back and got a busy signal. Sounds bogus -- apparently is.

They didn't say who the call was for so they purposely kept it vague.  The IRS would never call you, they will send you something through registered/certified mail to make sure that you have received the letter in question.
