Received a call from 206-596-0622 instructing me to reply, claiming to represent the IRS. I am 99.9% sure that it was an attempt to commit phone fraud of some sort. The call was made on February 18, 2017 @ 9:39 am (eastern time).
Definitely a scam! Someone stole my info last year and filed a fraudulent tax return under my name. From this I learned that IRS NEVER contacts you except by mail! I got one of these also this morning. I called back and gave him a piece of my mind! I told him the next call is to the police and I called the police and filed a report.
Don't fall for this. Dont give them your name or any info. They asked my name. I said I wouldnt give it and instead gave them the "case number" they gave to me. I said ow give me my name. He couldn't! I said "seriously... yall have to do better than that if you wanna scam people!" All I heard was silence!
