Tried calling IRS, after 5 mins of prerecorded questions and 15 mins, and counting, on hold I decided to call our friend Ross Gaber, all I got was a busy signal. Still on hold with our fine govt institution. I think I will hang up, forget this ever happened and get some real work done.
My husband was getting the same. Only, the fellow never identified my husband by name. When I call the number I get an automated voice mail with no name!
Someone from this number called my home this morning looking for my daughter. I restricted the phone number on my work phone and returned the call. I could not get through this morning but tried again a few minutes ago. The phone was answered "Internal Revenue Service, this is Brian" with a pretty strong accent. My guess is he is from Northern India, perhaps New Delhi. I asked for his office address and he hung up.
Conclusion: He is just fishing for a sucker. BEWARE.
