And I can tell you right now that call is fake-Microsoft does NOT cold-call you nor use a third-party group. Plus, your computer does NOT send out error messages-scammers like to take advantage of people who don't know this stuff. Oh, and if they tell you your Windows Registry Key has expired or is going to? Yeah, another lie these people use
I also received a call from this number by a foreign man claiming he was a Windows technician located in Wisconsin. When I started to press him on if he was calling from Dell or Microsoft he got agitated and said Dell would not be able to help me with this problem. I could tell he was sitting in a call center probably in the middle east because I could hear the other men talking on the phone in a background. I asked him what his website was and he told me an address which he later told me was a fake website. I kept pressing him and telling him he was a scam and he handed the phone off to his supposed manager who said, remember Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda?! I just wanted to see how far he would go and kept questioning his legitimacy Eventually he hung up on me. Obviously it's a scamming organization probably located in the middle east. Don't give them any information!
