DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! When you press the number to have your number removed, you confirm that your number is a working number and then they sell your known active number to another scammer.
ROBO CALLS: Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers times that by 800 possible area codes. The program starts calling every number that it can in succession. So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone so DNC does not work. The authorities can not or will not help either.
So, just block them, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls. If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back. No problem. WARNING: THIS CALL IS A SCAM. I answered their call a few days ago, in which I was told that I owed $1495 to the IRS since 2009-14, for if I don't pay now, I will be fined $72,000 and my house will be taken away. The Indian group provided me with specific case numbers and id's, and that their names were John Tate, Officer Mark Jones, Linda Carter, and Officer Joe Logan. They called from Seattle, Washington, making me think that it is Washington D.C, even when they told me to send the money to Tampa, FL. Don't be mistaken for their words, for they will make you scared. Thinking I was sent a letter via "USPS," it was all a fraud and threat. They will also repeatedly call you from various numbers such as 6617480240, and 7026339111. Be careful out there, and understand that the IRS mails you, not call you.
