Caller left a message, a recorded female voice saying the IRS is suing me and to call back. Am blown away by the fact she is telling an outright lie. How is it that carriers are effectively allowing this to happen when they seemingly have the power, not just to shut down the line used to make the calls, but to then report the incidents to authorities qualified to make arrests?
multiple robo calls about IRS pursuing me and filing lawsuits against me. Have neigh answered or returned calls as IRS only sends notices, etc. via mail.
I received a call while i was asleep and the voicemail claimed to be the irs filing a lawsuit against me and for information call back immediately. I called the number back and they didn't pick up so I searched the number for the irs and called that and they were closed.

Won't do any good. The callers are located in India and Pakistan and use VOIP system which allows them to call anywhere and spoof any number. Call blocker is your best bet. Also do not pick up on call numbers you do not reconize or that seem odd or where there is no CID.
