I just got a call from 'Bainbridge IWA' 1-206-866-5784, it was computer automated message that I should call back immediately because there was thousand dollars due for last 5years. I called back immediately and there was live person asking me my full name and address, I asked him to confirm that he works for IRS. That is it. he hang up the phone.

Got a computer generated message from this number saying I had problems with the IRS and to call another number: 201-478-8155 right away. Did not call.
There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Got a computer generated voice call from this number saying that it was my final notice that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I have had no interactions with the IRS whatsoever (other than my yearly April 15 filing). It said to call this number (206-866-9748).
