Received a ROBO call on 2/22 stating I was being sued by the IRS and to call this number back. The call did not identify me in any way, so it was obviously a phishing attempt.
I just called this number back, because I received about 10 calls from this area call all day and they leave the same VM, and the guy on the other end told me that he could not take me off the call list and that I sounded ugly. I basically told him to f**K himself and told him to take me off the list, called back from a different number and asked who they were because I could not understand the fool I spoke with originally and he hung up on me. I don't owe anything to the IRS or should be sued for anything, and if there was an issue, I'm sure some guy from India would not be calling me from 10 different numbers all day today. Actually I'm sure a notice would be sent to my home.
I got the same call on 2/23 (twice). A voicemail stating the IRS is suing me and I should call back immediately about my case (no case number was given). I didn't call back.
