I know EXACTLY what everyone here is talking about. This number calls me CONSTANTLY! Half of the time the idiot calling screams "Hello? Hello? Hello?" into my answering machine about 5-10 times before hanging up. Do people not know what an answering machine is anymore? I don't know what's going on, but it seems like something started this month--literally on March 1st--and I am getting 10-15 calls a day from many different numbers. I work nights so I am attempting to sleep while all of this is going on and it is making me CRAZY! I keep blocking the numbers and they just keep calling. (Obviously, I could turn the volume down and the ringer off, but I have elderly parents who need me, so I have to always be available to them.)
I keep getting calls from this number. It comes across the caller ID as "Name Unavailable". That should be an indication it is not a call you want to answer especially when they never leave a message. I've been getting a lot of scam calls lately saying it's the Internal Revenue. The IRS does not call. If they need to contact you, it's by registered letter. These calls are annoying and I'm not falling for these scams. If I do not recognize the call I do not answer my phone. All these calls that come through that are unavailable, out of area, private caller, etc. do not get answered and they never leave a message. They just hang up.
Have called me 3 times today on my cell phone. Finally answered while on my planning period - they asked for me, but I said "she isn't available at the moment, can I take a message for her?" I could barely understand him due to heavy (middle-eastern/Indian??) accent, but he said something about being from some federal department such-and-such, and would call back another time. I get tons of calls of this type, and it's really irritating!! I've registered with the "Do Not Call", but a fat lot of good that's doing me!! Argh!!
