Same thing here. I receive a call from 206-946-8217. It is a recording of a man with a thick accent, unprofessional, and does not say who he is calling for. Says he is with the Internal Revenue Service, name officer (cant remember what he said his name was but probably false anyway), and "this call is for you". No name stated. Said he needs to hear from me or my attorney and if he doesn't, all he can say is good luck because this is very serious". Really? So, I call the number back to try and get more info, knowing it has to be a scam. I think it was the same man who answered, asked for my first and last name, I said I needed to know who he was trying to reach, as he called me. He said he couldn't help without my first and last name, and I said, "I cant give you that. You have my phone number, so tell me... and he hung up on me. LOL When I tried back he had blocked me. Who are others reporting this to?
Someone with an accent and bad enunciation called saying they were from the IRS and I or my attorney should return their call. I am getting several of these calls a day.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I got the same call and it went to voice mail. Someone with an accent saying to call back and if I don't "good luck to me". I called and asked WHO exactly is this. He kept saying the IRS scam department. I say, WHO? He was cutting in and out so bad. He started yelling at me "WHAT YOU DON"T SPEAK ENGLISH" you want a SPANISH talking person.. I said, That's what I thought you were. He hung up.
