I received a voicemail today and I returned the call because I was told that the IRS was filing a suit against me for my 2008-2012 taxes for tax evasion. I told him I would have my husband call him and he said that the suit was only against me. I said how could that be we file jointly? He said he was an officer and that a deputy would be coming to my home today and arresting me and holding me for 72 hours. I think this is terrible. I happen to be on sick leave due to surgery and did not find this the least it funny.
I received a phone call from 206-973-7539. Male, East Indian accent. Left message saying I was being investigated by IRS and to avoid arrest I should call back. This is the second time I have received such a call from that phone number.
I didn't speak to this person live, but got home, and was told that I was being taken to court for some tax violation. The person had a thick Indian accent: very hard to make out what he was saying. I had to listen 4 times before putting it together. He asked that I not ignore the message.
Receiving multiple calls daily from foreign man who states "Before you get arrested kindly return my call I am an Officer with the IRS. Call comes from 954 858 5994 but we are told to call 206-973-7539.
