I keep getting calls from several different numbers and different locations. I don't recognize the number (always shows on caller ID as out of state - different states)...anyway last night the number showed as (209) 973-8073...it was 10:29pm my time (Eastern) and the call is from Seattle, Washington (so 7:39pm their time). anyway it said there was a voice mail. So I listened and all it was is the high pitch screeching of a fax line...or the old internet connecting line. I am worried that when i answer these voicemails that something is coming in over my phone or going out over an internet connection.  I am going to save this number as "potential scam#1 and next time answer to see if a real person is on the other end...or a machine. It really is upsetting that there is no good protection against scams and these unwanted calls using up my time and minutes.
