They call and dont say anything and will stay on the phone forever if you would sit there for that long. I just told them I was tracing the call They hung up real fast after that and I have never had a call back from them.
Just got a call from 210-210-1810 but if I don't recognise an incoming number I just don't answer. If it is important they will leave a message (which never seems to happen!) and if they call more than a couple of times, I use the call blocker feature on my Panasonic phone to keep them at bay.
The call appears to originate in Texas, if one can go by the area code, but these telemarketers seem to be able to spoof their numbers with no problem. If they have to do that then you know they are up to no good!
Just got a call and I happened to be on-line at the time, so I checked the # as the caller talked about energy savings in my province. I asked if this # was coming in from Texas, and she emphatically denied it--sounds fishy to me. She also said she wasn't selling anything, but just informing us of the chance to save on our energy bill and said she was calling from Toronto, not Texas (in that case shouldn't I have seen an Ontario number come up instead of one from Texas?!
