Just got a call form this number at 7:30 am. So i googled it and got to this site. i called the number back, but received a recording saying it was disconnected.
The number you refer to is an automated appointment reminder telephone system for Wilford Hall Medical Clinic, Lackland Air Force Base, TX. It normally leaves a message for me, telling me when my next appointment is. I don't know why it doesn't leave a message for you. It should only be calling your number if you provided that number for them as a point of contact for you about your appointments. Also, sometimes phone calls from military bases will be a generic switch phone number. For instance, if anybody calls me from any number from Fort Sam Houston (minus a few different extensions), it will leave a callback number of (210) 221-0000, which is a switchboard number/identifier. I never gave WHMC my cell number and I haven't had an appointment there in months. I think someone is spoofing this number for making their telemarketer calls in San Antonio, as it's a number people will trust.
IF you get this number again. Report it to the Lackland AFB Security Police AND also call
Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson Office in San Antonio Texas and in Washington DC and report it to them but they want something in writing and sign and then they will do something about it. WHMC is all ready under investigation right now.
