Earlier this week had 'Xavier' call regarding my 'debts.' Xavier sounds like a 2012 'Cheech' with is laid back telephone voice. To verify my ID, he wanted my 'last 4 SSN' which is a well known identity thefit scam.
They called me last night and wanted to verify my address, hello... i don't just tell strangers where I live. So I asked what this call was in regards to and they said they cannot tell me unless I verify my address. I said NO... so I hung up and blocked them. This lady was very rude... they must think we are dumb...
it's GMAC. Really efficient work there boys. Calling an 800 number (yeah, that's your customer) and the message says "If you are not ____________ please hang up now. See that blank? That's exactly what was there. Nothing! At the end they gave the reference number which was, yep, you guessed it, _____________.
I kept getting calls from this number and ignored them. Today they finally left a message. They stated they were from GMC Credit Services and said to call 877-208-9952.
