I have received several text from others because of posting on Autotrader. And some even send me text messages before my post goes live-- this means there is an internal leak. After googling this issue, others have undergone the same problem.
Maybe this is Autotrader's tactic of making us buy the "privacy shield" upgrade. I hope not, but very shady if so...

Yep, just posted a car for sale on Auto trader & got a text asking for photo of engine. No response to my reply to the email given as [email protected]. But I don't understand, what's the scam?
