They even left a message saying there was an issue with my security system and I should call them to resolve the issue. I don't have a security system (well, if you don't count the German Shepherd, AR and 9mm). I didn't call them back. Blocked now.
I got a call from a roboCall company, and then was transferred to referral agent to pre-signup for a security system.
I have had calls every week or so forever.
I finally figured out how to punish the security companies.
I spend to 20 minutes or so setting up an appointment for the installer to come out to install a security system (at no installation cost, then monitoring from $35 to $55 depending on gouge factor).
When the installer shows up, I tell them I changed my mind.
I usually get a call immediately from the company, where I berate them for using a robocall system when I am on the national do-no-call list.
I tell them I will continue to book appointments every time they call.
If everyone where to do this, maybe the wasting of their time might get them to tell the robocall people to really take my name off the list.
To date I have been unable to find out who the robocall company is or the referral company is, so I can punish them also.
