Called number back, East Indian man answers phone saying "thank you for calling" I don't speak so he says Hello once and then hangs up. Obviously a phishing operation.
same guy called me too, wish there was a way to stop these guys. He tried to sell me stuff and asked me a lot of questions. I think he was phishing for info to steal my identify or financial information.
Said their Company was called Lapiz. He had the name of one of our partners and asked for him to call back to "set up a phone interview." He spoke very poor English. However, the thing I found most interesting was that when he gave his company name (which I didn't understand what he said) there was a beep of some kind, some kind of interuption in the connection I thought. So I asked him the company name again, and again, the same connection interuption/beep. Then he spelled the company name "Lapiz." I don't know what to think...but I do know that if we can't understand him, we won't be able to do business with him (if he is legit).
