This number just called me and since I'm at work I missed it. I called the number back and the operator said its not a working number. I got another calll like this a while ago and missed the call again. I would love to be able to answer one day so that I can play the game with them. As I do with all bill collectors because I am responsible I know who all my lendors are and who I hold debt with so I don't fall for scams too often. For everyone else out there, be careful. Never give your bank or credit card information to anyone unless you are absolutely sure you know who they are and you have seen a bill along with service dates on paper.
Got a call from these people on my cell phone. The lady kept saying I owed $5,000.00
I ONLY own an American Express, and that is nothing near the amount I owe. I check my AMEX account weekly, so I know what is going on with my account.
But this lady insisted that I owed $5,000.00 on a Visa/Mastercard. Ummm I closed out my Visa almost 2 years ago with Capital One (They keep sending me credit applications saying they want me back).
And she kept going on saying they get their info. from top credit bureaus, and I owe this money, yet they are willing to settle with me for some crazy amount of money that sounded to good to be true.
I don't think she liked that I laughed at her, but I was recently trying to buy a car last month and I had my credit run. My credit score is pretty good ! Don't try to play this game with me !
I had another similar scam happen trying to say they were Wells Fargo and asking for my account info.
Shouldn't these people already have all you info. ?
Never give them info. !!!!
I had to hang up on this woman, she just kept talking.
Why are these people so stupid ? I'm gonna come back with an answer for all the supposed info. you think you have on me !
