I got this call today and the same Philippino lady said she was calling from the Province of Ontario Business Development office. She said she was notified that our businesslocation was moving. I said I didn't think so and described our location is in a plaza. I was very confused and kept asking her where she was calling from and where she got her information.. she said she was likely mistaken about this call. Weird. Don't give them any info!
This # calls with various Pillipino accented people, they ask for company information and now are stating that they are with the state of Califonia's business office, when you ask them for a phone number they hang up--be careful with these guy
got a call from this phone number 210-249-8807 the woman with a philipino accent said her name was "Ruby" and she claimed to be calling from the State Development office and said that our local chamber of commerce reported that our office was moving. She just wanted to know if we were at a certain listed address.
I think this is a trick to confirm your address for their database, which they probably sell to companies.
If you don't want to participate, you should not confirm or deny anything they say, just hang up and tell them you can not speak with them because they do not have a scheduled appointment, and if she tries to get one, tell her that you are not authorized to participate in her survey.
That same woman calls my office all the time, sometimes from this number and sometimes from 210 249 8805. She says that she works for the british columbia business office. She wants to know if we are still planning to move. I get very irritated with her and ask her to stop calling. When I say we are not planning to move, she asks me repeatedly if I'm sure. Then asks to speak to my boss.
