Text msg ordering food for 150 people for wedding. Person going into hospital for ear surgery. Some company was to pick up product.
This one was probably a cc theft scam. We take their order used stolen cc is presented. We forward payment via Western Union, once sent it is gone forever.
We've had this type of scam before under the ADA (American Disabilities Act), the use teletype to call an operator who forwards the message to the unsuspecting recipient you never really get to contact the person you are going through a third party who by law is not supposed to tell you it is a scam. This is a new twist on an old scam.
We are a So Cal company, why would a person in Texas order sushi for a wedding from a caterer 2000 miles away?

Had the same thing but from a number in Vegas. Wanted Boneless Chicken Breast encrusted with Penne Pasta for 150 people! HA!!!!! They really should learn a bit about food if they're going to try and scam a caterer. I stopped getting messages when I asked who this was and what city they were in. I'm in Texas, BTW. I just texted them back so I could mess with them!
